Job summary

Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF), a leading global architecture practice, seeks a Senior Designer in New York City. You will advance conceptual and schematic design, develop high‑quality 2D and 3D presentations, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure design excellence through all project phases.

The role requires strong visualization and communication skills, proficiency in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, and a commitment to presenting concepts clearly to teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 10+ years of relevant architectural design experience.
• Strong conceptual design skills with excellent visual, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to develop, communicate and present design concepts to project teams.
• Strong communication and excellent graphic presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to master planning, site planning, and building design through high‑quality digital and physical design exercises.
• Develop conceptual and schematic design proposals, project layouts, and 3D models using Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and other design tools.
• Prepare compelling presentation materials, including diagrams, renderings, models, and design narratives for client and internal review.
• Support project coordination activities, including design calculations, zoning and code analysis, and specification review.
• Assist in the preparation of construction documents, architectural detailing, and technical drawings.
• Participate in construction administration by reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and site visits.
