Job summary

NBBJ New York is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to join a highly collaborative, design‑driven studio. You will support design leadership, set quality standards, mentor teams, and advance the firm’s design reputation through project work, client interactions, and internal reviews.

Ideal candidates have 12–15 years of professional experience, a B Arch or M Arch, licensure a plus, and proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, plus Adobe tools; Grasshopper experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills.
• Verbal and graphic communication skills with diverse teams.
• Experience seeing a project through all phases.

Responsibilities

• Support design leadership on projects and set design quality standards.
• Mentor teams and contribute to firm-wide design culture.
• Prepare high‑quality presentation drawings, models, and narratives from concept to construction.
• Collaborate with PA/PM to organize project work and team structures.
• Deliver integrated design solutions across disciplines.
