Job summary

WATG and Wimberly Interiors seeks a Senior Designer I for our New York office. The role combines creative design with technical execution across hospitality-focused interiors, with in-person collaboration and the option to work remotely on Fridays.

The candidate should bring a background in architecture or interior design, a strong portfolio, and leadership in multiple project phases from concept through construction documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited university.
• Environmental accreditation preferred.
• 10+ years in an architectural practice with hospitality interior design experience and project management across all phases.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a team on interior design projects including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation.
• Develops innovative design concepts that are practical, aesthetic, safe and aligned with client goals and budgets.
• Sculpts interior spaces as a holistic experience including furniture, lighting, artwork and finishes/materials.
