Job summary

Gap Inc seeks a senior design leader to set the global direction for a key product line, balancing customer needs with brand tone. You will guide a cross-functional team, inspire performance, and drive sustainable, stylish concepts.

Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, GIS, Visual Merchandising and Marketing to ensure seamless concept-to-store execution and strong margins across markets.

Qualifications

• Ability to set strategic direction for product area and lead a team.
• Strong coaching and mentorship for a high performing team.
• Experience researching global markets to identify trends and inspiration.
• Ability to translate trends into customer-forward product concepts.
• Proficiency with Illustrator and Excel for design and data tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for product area and team.
• Provide creative direction and coaching to develop a motivated, high performing team.
• Research global markets to identify seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, categories.
• Develop concepts and sketches for product line and present to leadership and partners.
• Develop cross functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, GIS, Visual Merchandising and Marketing.
• Partner with Production and Tech Design to create tech packs and communicate vision.
• Collaborate and lead others in design initiatives and implementation.
