Job summary

Human Rights Foundation in New York seeks a Senior Designer to lead visual projects from concept to completion, under the Creative Director, while mentoring junior designers and ensuring every output aligns with HRF’s mission and brand standards.

You will balance concept development with hands-on design for print, digital, and environmental assets, collaborating across departments to maintain a cohesive brand presence.

Qualifications

• Background or degree in design (Graphic Design BFA).
• 5-7 years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Strong Print Production.
• 3D experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork, time management.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation to completion, from conceptualization and execution through production, working closely with Project Management.
• Develop concepts, experiences, and designs that bring the Human Rights Foundation and its programs to life, with a focus on the Oslo Freedom Forum.
• Support the Creative Director in concept and design development for large-scale, complex projects, from campaigns and events to experiential activations.
• Own assigned projects and tasks from brief through final delivery, producing high-quality work on time while managing priorities and timelines.
• Execute designs independently with craft and attention to detail, incorporating feedback constructively and efficiently.
• Document design systems through guidelines and finalize templates and asset files for delivery.
• Realize projects with creativity while adhering to the brief, scope, and schedule.
• Produce high-quality design assets across print, digital, and environmental applications.
• Create mockups for events, activations, reports, posters, merchandise, and other branded assets.
• Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency and production quality across deliverables.
• Develop familiarity with production processes, including print specs, fabrication methods, and material selections.
