Job summary

Monks is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join a regional creative team delivering rapid-turn editorial and marketing content. You will apply established brand systems to digital deliverables and maintain high craft standards with an autonomous workflow.

The ideal candidate is fluent in Figma, comfortable with robust design systems, and able to translate complex information into clear visuals. An interest in AI and new production approaches is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital, visual, web or product design
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and design systems
• Strong UX, responsive design and accessibility understanding
• Ability to organize complex information into clear visual storytelling
• Experience creating charts, diagrams, infographics of technical info
• Excellent typography, composition, color, spacing and imagery
• Attention to detail and self-QA discipline
• Autonomous work style with fast turnarounds
• Experience collaborating across regions/time zones
• Interest in AI and production innovation

Responsibilities

• Design editorial, marketing and web assets using brand guidelines and components
• Translate complex information into clear visual hierarchies and graphics
• Apply UX/web design principles to responsive layouts
• Work with Figma libraries, components, auto layout and plugins
• Maintain brand consistency while adapting design systems
• Collaborate with Design Director, writers, motion designers and producers
• Interpret briefs, identify gaps, ask clarifying questions
• Prepare production-ready files for distributed teams
• Support clear handoffs across regions or shifts
• Conduct thorough self-QA for accuracy, spacing and accessibility
• Use AI tools to support exploration and efficiency
• Protect confidential information and design direction
