Job summary

Nike ACG is seeking a seasoned Design Lead to guide and grow the Creative direction for Performance and Lifestyle lines. This role reports to the Creative Director and Design Director and collaborates with designers, developers, product managers, merchants, and category teams to deliver innovative, feasible designs aligned with price points and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Industrial Design, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in Accessories/Equipment Design
• Inspiring creative direction through visual research and storytelling
• Experience designing bags, hats, socks, other soft goods and hard goods
• Portfolio demonstrating collection building and innovative product design
• Strong knowledge of materials: textiles, synthetics, leather, hardware, trims
• Strong skills in 3D rendering and 3D printing
• Understanding of construction techniques and manufacturing processes
• Portfolio showing collection building and innovative product design
• Strong leadership: mentoring designers and cross-functional collaboration
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, 3D software, and sketching
• Passion for sports and for analyzing product utility and functionality
• Knowledge of sustainable materials and processes
• Global market awareness and consumer insight

Responsibilities

• Guide creative through the design season with cross-functional teams
• Lead the calendar, execution, and advanced product creation
• Create original, function-led designs reflecting Nike design philosophy
• Partner with product management and merchandising on new design solutions
• Ensure design feasibility meets price points, merchandising needs, and timelines
• Provide prototypes and tech pack details including fabrication, trim, color, and construction
• Monitor prototype development with Development and Sample Room
• Mentor Designers and share knowledge
• Research trends and translate into consumer-relevant products
• Communicate with athletes and collaborators
