Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) seeks a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Phoenix, AZ office.

You will support project teams by performing civil engineering tasks to develop land development plan specifications and calculation briefs for commercial and institutional clients, gaining hands-on experience across multiple disciplines. You will be mentored by experienced engineers, participate in workshops and professional development, and build a network within the firm.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate Civil or Environmental Engineering program.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Prior internship and/or related survey experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering tasks to support project teams and create land development plan specifications.
• Prepare calculation briefs for commercial and institutional clients.
• Collaborate across Civil/Site, Environmental, and Solid Waste disciplines.

As a Civil Engineering Intern for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Phoenix, AZ office, you’ll perform civil engineering tasks supporting project teams to create land development plan specifications, and calculation briefs for our commercial and institutional clients. You'll have the opportunity to work across various disciplines including Civil/Site, Environmental, and Solid Waste. Local candidates preferred.

Through the CEC Internship Program, you will:

• Acquire practical experience applying knowledge from college courses, learn from industry experts, and collaborate with teams across functional groups and locations
• Develop a robust professional network through social events and interactive activities
• Collaborate closely with a mentor in your discipline to tackle real-world challenges
• Participate in workshops to help foster interpersonal skills within the workplace and prepare students for success in their full-time careers
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate Civil or Environmental Engineering program
• AutoCAD experience
• Prior internship and/or related survey experience preferred
