Job summary

Q3 Contracting, Inc, a division of Primoris Services Corporation, seeks a Senior Designer in its Denver, CO area to lead design quality control and coordinate with clients. The role focuses on designing facilities per customer construction standards, interpreting drawings, and guiding projects from start to finish.

The Senior Designer will collaborate with area engineers, customers, and division support to meet deadlines, obtain permits, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in design, construction or related field preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with GIS or mapping software desired but not required.
• Experience with SAP platform is a plus and beneficial for the role.
• Must possess and maintain an appropriate and valid driver's license for the primary work state.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Primarily focus on quality controlling work and actioning items from clients.
• Design facilities for new and existing customers according to the customer’s construction standards.
• Read and interpret multiple types of construction drawings (one lines, mechanical, plumbing, etc.) to determine job scopes.
• Manage and report on multiple projects from start to finish.
• Work with area engineers, customers and local division support to meet deadlines.
• Obtain permits and easements for facilities in accordance with city ordinances, state, federal, and county agencies as required.
• Execute contracts and agreements in compliance with administrative instructions and regulatory requirements.
• Actively communicate with customers, vendors, and supervisors on all aspects of individual jobs.
• Provide cost-effective estimates to your customers using standardized documents.
• Schedule and attend meetings on-site with customers to determine site-specific requirements.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure that documentation conforms to standards.
• Communicate any problems to the Design Manager.
• Serve as a resource for their team to problem solve projects.
