Job summary

TAS Energy in Houston, Texas is seeking a Sr. Design Checker who will review designer drawings and models to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate should possess advanced knowledge in package and plant designs and have over 12 years of design experience.

This position requires hands-on experience with 3D modeling software and applicable codes knowledge. It involves both technical and non-technical reviews to ensure project excellence.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of mechanical, structural, electrical, and controls design experience relevant to manufacture of TAS products.
• Hands-on experience in design and drafting using 3D modeling software.
• Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline or 3D/CAD design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical drawing reviews for compliance with various requirements.
• Reviews all designer drawings ensuring accurate BOMs and dimensions.
• Verifies weld symbols and equipment access are appropriate.

Skills

Advanced knowledge in package/plant designs

Knowledgeable of relevant codes (NEC, IEC, ASME, etc.)

Experience in mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
