Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Designer for the Design Systems team to design and iterate Matter, Anduril’s design system. You will influence governance and ensure scalable solutions across web, mobile, XR, and emerging platforms.

You will mentor designers, collaborate across teams, and deliver high craft and accessible experiences for highly technical, mission-focused software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product design, with significant time building and leading design systems at scale.
• Proven impact shaping end-to-end systems with portfolio evidence.
• Deep expertise in Figma and collaboration through implementation.
• Track record of aligning multiple teams and driving adoption in complex environments.
• Portfolio showing high craft and interaction details.
• No prior defense experience necessary.

Responsibilities

• Design and iterate Matter, Anduril’s design system across primitives, tokens, components, patterns, and guidelines.
• Establish governance practices balancing platform scaling with program needs.
• Communicate system strategy and progress to leadership, designers, and engineers.
• Partner across teams to design scalable solutions for adoption and consistency.
• Unify visual and interaction direction across web, mobile, XR, and emerging platforms.
• Ensure quality, craft, and accessibility while grounded in operational realities.
• Manage transitions from deprecated patterns or tooling with smooth migrations.
• Mentor other designers and drive organizational alignment around system best practices.
