Job summary

OLX is seeking a Senior Product Designer for its Design System team, influencing Real Estate products across web and app. You’ll evolve a scalable design system to boost consistency, quality, and pace, collaborating within a small pod spanning multiple tribes and supporting designers broadly.

You’ll drive component behavior, token strategies, and documentation, balancing system coherence with local needs. A strong portfolio and strong Figma proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and maintaining a design system at scale.
• Experience running or contributing to a contribution model.
• Strong technical fluency and ability to discuss code implications with engineers.
• Sharp judgment on when to enforce consistency vs. exceptions.
• Strong communication skills to justify decisions to stakeholders.
• Comfortable with AI-assisted tools to improve speed and quality.
• Portfolio showing product and system thinking with shipped impact.
• Experience with Figma, component libraries, variables, tokens, and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve reusable components and foundations to improve consistency across tribes.
• Define component behavior, states and variants and collaborate with engineering to ship them.
• Improve the contribution model so designers outside the core team can propose and ship components.
• Support design from problem framing through documentation and handover using research and feedback.
• Create documentation and specifications covering variants, edge cases, and usage guidance.
• Collaborate with engineers on token strategy linking Figma to production code.
• Resolve conflicts between local needs and long-term system coherence.
• Work with product design teams to embed systems thinking across products.
