Job summary

AS&M in Hampton, Virginia is seeking a Senior Design Process Engineer to support the NASA Langley CMOE contract. You will join the Engineering team to deliver process system designs for facility mechanical systems and lead design activities on site.

Requires an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s in mechanical or chemical engineering and 10–15 years of direct experience with high-pressure air/steam process systems, codes, and QA.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• 10–15 years of direct experience with core process engineering design.
• Direct design experience for high-pressure air and high-pressure steam systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare requirements, analyses, specs, drawings, cost estimates, and reports for process system designs.
• Oversee designers and drafters to ensure compliance with codes and customer requirements.
• Provide technical quality reviews and ensure adherence to QC processes.
• Foster integrity and teamwork to maintain morale.
• Travel between office and NASA facilities as needed.
