Job summary

Gensler Columbus is seeking a Design Manager / Project Lead to own the successful delivery of complex architectural and interiors projects—from strategy and concept through post-occupancy. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, lead project teams, and contribute to the growth of the Columbus studio.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading architectural or interior design projects.
• Registered Architect or Interior Designer status.
• Experience managing scope, fees, schedules and financials.
• Proven leadership across full project lifecycle, including post-occupancy.
• Strong client-facing skills and strategic advisory capability.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and consultant coordination.
• High design competence and working knowledge of building codes.
• Proficiency in Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead client and project strategy, maintaining trusted relationships.
• Own day-to-day project delivery, on time and on budget.
• Prepare work plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Review project accounting, forecasts, and billing.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate consultants.
• Support studio growth and staffing planning in Columbus.
