Job summary

Fireline Sprinkler, LLC is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead our design department onsite. You will guide a team of designers, ensure high-quality fire sprinkler system designs, and uphold NFPA compliance across projects.

With 10+ years in design and at least 5 years of leadership, you will optimize layouts, hydraulic calculations, and fabrication drawings while coordinating with operations, sales, and field teams to meet schedules and growth goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Drafting, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA standards and fire protection system design.
• Strong understanding of hydraulic calculations, fabrication processes, and installation practices.
• Proficiency with industry design software such as AutoSPRINK, HydraCAD, Revit, and AutoCAD.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for design managers and fire sprinkler designers.
• Oversee the design of fire sprinkler systems, including layouts, hydraulic calculations, fabrication drawings, and stock lists.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, customer specifications, and company quality standards.
• Review and approve complex designs while providing technical guidance and problem-solving support.
• Manage department workload, staffing, and resource allocation to support project schedules and business growth.
• Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, Sales, Fabrication, and Field teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
• Monitor key performance indicators, department productivity, and project milestones.
• Support strategic planning, technology implementation, and long-term departmental growth.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Design Manager to lead our fire sprinkler design department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing design operations, managing and developing design personnel, ensuring technical excellence, and driving departmental performance. The Senior Design Manager will work closely with project management, operations, fabrication, field teams, and customers to deliver high-quality fire protection system designs that meet project goals, code requirements, and customer expectations.

Note: This role is required to work onsite and is not a remote position.
