Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated's Global Design team is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead end-to-end design projects for client portfolios worldwide. You will partner with real estate leaders, project teams, and external consultants to translate visions into practical, innovative design solutions.

This on-site role in Salt Lake City, UT requires 10+ years of architecture experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication to balance creative intent with budget and schedule.

What this job involves:

The Senior Design Manager will be part of JLL’s Global Design team, working closely with project teams around the world to drive design excellence across our client’s portfolio. As an experienced architect and design professional, this role partners with key real estate leaders, business partners, and service providers to balance global design consistency with the flexibility needed for regional effectiveness. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and project management teams to translate vision into reality, conceptualizing and implementing design solutions that elevate the quality and innovation of our work.

This role will require an on-site presence at our client’s headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT 3+ days/week.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead the end-to-end design process, from initial concept through project completion, ensuring a seamless experience for clients and stakeholders
• Engage in comprehensive client consultations to understand project requirements, preferences, and business objectives in order to shape bespoke design concepts
• Direct and support design teams, evaluate project performance, and manage external consultants and vendors
• Review detailed design proposals, including mood boards, material selections, color schemes, and furniture layouts, while maintaining alignment with budgetary constraints
• Collaborate with architects and contractors to integrate design elements smoothly into the construction process
• Source and liaise with vendors, artisans, and suppliers to identify materials, furnishings, and accessories that support each project’s design vision
• Apply a strong understanding of design principles, aesthetics, and user experience to every stage of a project
• Articulate design concepts clearly and persuasively to stakeholders, including executives, clients, and cross-functional teams
• Maintain awareness of business context, customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape to inform design decisions

Required qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience leading design projects from concept through completion

• Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and construction integration processes

• Experience managing design teams, consultants, and vendor relationships

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

• Ability to balance creative vision with budgetary and business constraints

• Experience collaborating with architects, contractors, and cross-functional project teams

• 10+ years of post-education experience practicing architecture
