Job summary

HKS, Inc. seeks an experienced Architect/Designer to lead design directions on multiple projects and guide diverse design teams through development and documentation. You will present concepts to clients and coordinate with consultants to realize the design intent.

The role emphasizes advanced knowledge of building systems, sustainability, and a proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
• Typically 15+ years of experience in design leadership.
• Architectural registration strongly preferred.
• Sustainable design accreditation preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of building systems, codes and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Acts as lead designer on multiple projects, developing conceptual design, presentations and implementation documents.
• Guides and directs multiple project teams to manage the development of design through design development and documentation.
• Sets project vision and goals with client and project team.
• Leads design effort and client presentations to develop and sustain client relationships.
• Resolves complex design issues with innovative, practical solutions.
• Oversees schematic land and site planning drawings to convey ideas for marketing and proposals.
• Manages coordination with consultants, contractors and regulatory agencies.
