Job summary

Nukemed Technologies is a rapidly growing CDMO based in Indianapolis, IN, seeking a Sr. Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The role focuses on design and drafting for parts, assemblies, fixtures, and work cells using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with emphasis on manufacturability and packaging of equipment for isotope handling.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical design, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently with limited direction. Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years design and drafting experience.
• 5+ years 3D parametric design experience (SolidWorks preferred).
• 5+ years AutoCAD experience preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience designing for assembly and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Detail Design of parts, assemblies, fixtures, and work cells using SolidWorks.
• Design of equipment and tools for working with radioisotopes.
• Perform tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Plan production floor layouts.
• Source equipment and components for fabrication and assembly.
