Job summary

Akkodis is recruiting for a Sr Design Engineer in the Exeter, NH area. This onsite direct hire role offers a pay range of $115K–$140K annually depending on experience and education.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead new product development, conduct advanced analyses (FEA, CFD, motion studies, thermal), and ensure manufacturability with GD&T and ASME Y14.5 standards. Strong PLM experience and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of R&D experience leading new product development.
• Strong proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience in advanced engineering analyses and design-for-manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of new products from concept through production.
• Translate requirements into manufacturable solutions meeting performance and cost objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement of product performance and reliability.
• Create and review engineering drawings, assemblies, and documentation with GD&T.
