Job summary

Reframe Systems, a Physical AI and robotics company in Andover, MA, seeks a Junior Design Engineer to transform the AEC design process. You will create parameterized designs, augment CAD workflows with automation, and generate assets to support manufacturing for residential and low-rise multi-family buildings.

The role requires a strong CAD background, experience with parametric design, and the ability to deliver clear, actionable work instructions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
2+ years of design engineering experience in construction recommended.
Strong CAD skills and attention to detail required.
Experience with parametric design and 3D model management desired.
Familiarity with design for manufacturing and assembly preferred.
Experience in wood-based construction a plus.
Excellent cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

Create high‑fidelity 3D CAD models partnering with architects.
Define requirements and rules for parametric modeling in collaboration with software teams.
Generate work instructions and assets for operators during fabrication.
Develop and implement modeling strategies to balance speed and standardization.
Identify opportunities to simplify designs for manufacturing and assembly.
Maintain organized, cloud-based documentation of models and files.
Review models and instructions for accuracy and compliance with standards.
