Job summary

Vax, part of the global TTI Group, is rebuilding its product development team in Droitwich and seeks a Senior Design Engineer to take ideas from a blank sheet through prototype to production.

You will collaborate with industrial design, mechanical, electronics and NPD; generate original concepts for floor care and home cleaning; build and test prototypes; produce robust CAD designs (CREO preferred); handover to NPD; and engage suppliers for future technology.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Engineering.
• Extensive experience as a Senior Design Engineer or similar.
• Experience in consumer product development.
• Strong CAD skills; CREO preferred.
• Track record from concept to production.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Generate original engineering concepts for floor care and home cleaning products.
• Build and test prototypes, then feed learnings back into the next iteration.
• Produce robust CAD designs, CREO preferred, though strong 3D ability matters.
• Support the handover into NPD, so concepts reach production.
• Engage suppliers on future technology, not just today’s parts.
