Metric Geo is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Michigan to design industrial ergonomic systems, automated tooling, and material handling equipment. You will blend hands-on 3D design with FEA, translating customer requirements into engineered solutions and leading projects from concept through installation.

The role requires strong CAD/FEA skills, ergonomic insight, and effective collaboration with customers and cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturability and safety.

Competenze

• 5+ years of tooling or automation design experience with FEA.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and engineering specifications.
• Experience applying engineering concepts to ergonomic systems and automated tooling.
• Comfortable collaborating with customers across disciplines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

• Develop 3D designs, assemblies, layouts, and drawings for tooling and automated systems.
• Perform FEA and design analysis to validate structure and function.
• Review as-built designs, prepare updates, and manage revisions.
