Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an Engineer II to perform engineering calculations, investigations, and related tasks under limited supervision. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project progress and communicate results through reports and summaries.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, and analyzing components and systems, preparing CAD drawings, and ensuring regulatory compliance and safe production practices in customer environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2–5 years of related experience.
• Proficient CAD and Microsoft Office usage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering calculations, investigations and tasks as assigned.
• Responsible for project management, communicating requirements, establishing timelines and coordinating activities with customer requirements for orders.
• Collaborates with other employees to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems.
• Prepares reports, graphs, planning layouts and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results.
• Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills and training.
• Recommends and designs components and systems of components working together to meet customer specifications for size, layout and performance.
• Utilizes CAD, 2D/3D drawings and related documents to assist with defining problems and completing engineering projects.
• Ensures processes and environmental conditions comply with regulatory and safety standards.
• May provide technical writing and explanations of how components work in industrial machinery.
• May help improve production methods and set up production schedules.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
