Job summary

Enode is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to bridge design and code, turning designs into production-ready UI for the Platform, Link UI and the marketing site. You will prototype ideas, contribute to the design system, and ensure consistency across interfaces with front-end engineers.

The role emphasizes shipping high-quality UI, accessibility, and collaboration with product managers in a remote-first, AI-enabled environment. A strong portfolio showing both designs and builds is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building user interfaces in a design engineering, front-end or design-focused engineering role.
• Deep knowledge of React and TypeScript, and a strong understanding of HTML, CSS and accessibility.
• A solid understanding of APIs: comfortable reading docs and building on real data for developers.
• A portfolio that shows both things you designed and things you built.
• You’ve spent the past year using AI in design/engineering work and pushing its boundaries.
• Experience contributing to a design system that people actually use.
• Comfort working independently and shipping features from rough concepts.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production UI for the Platform, Link UI and the website, working directly in our codebases.
• Contribute heavily to the design system in code, with front-end engineers: components, tokens and documentation, kept in sync with Figma and other tooling.
• Prototype in code to test ideas quickly with customers and the team before committing to a direction.
• Raise the quality bar for interaction, motion, accessibility and performance across everything we ship.
• Collaborate with engineering on how front-end work gets built, reviewed and released.
• Help our engineering teams design APIs and changes to them, so what developers build on is clear and easy to use.
• Build tools and prototypes that help design and engineering work together, and shape how we use AI as a team.
