Senior Design Engineer – Mechanical Design, Radar Systems

Location & Worksite

On‑site, Marlborough, MA or Tewksbury, MA, USA.

Security Clearance

DoD Clearance: Secret – active and existing clearance required after day one. U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers across the business to propose, design, develop, integrate, and document detailed designs of large assemblies and sub‑assemblies using CREO.
• Communicate with engineering team members and suppliers to design, model, and document the Design Technical Data Package (TDP) and ensure compliance with configuration and drafting requirements.
• Support development, evaluation, and analysis of mechanical designs.
• Generate drawing releases and incorporate drawing changes.
• Hold design reviews and resolve action items.
• Oversee rework and modification procedures.
• Support the production floor on a regular basis, collecting issues, providing status updates, and participating in problem resolution.
• Utilize CREO CAD tools for modeling and documentation creation.
• Manage large assembly and Bill of Materials (BOM) documentation.

Qualifications – Required

• Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with CAD tools, particularly CREO, including advanced modeling and drawing generation.
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y‑14.5), tolerance analysis, and drawing practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High technical aptitude and attention to detail.

Qualifications – Preferred

• Experience with CREO Parametric, CREO View, and Model Based Definition (MBD).
• Experience with PDM/Windchill.
• Experience with multiple CAD design tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA.
• Solid understanding of configuration management practices.
• Experience with military/aerospace specifications and/or industry design standards.
