What You Will Do:

• Design, integrate, and document mechanical hardware using CAD tools, ensuring hardware performance and team coordination.
• Apply manufacturing and assembly best practices; lead teams in these tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed designs and large assemblies.
• Communicate technical data packages and ensure compliance with requirements to peers, leadership, and customers.
• Work independently as a design authority and may perform work in proprietary spaces.
• Travel may be required for vendor meetings, testing, and other activities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years experience.
• Experience in mechanical design, preferably for defense components or systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and ASME Y-14.5 standards.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• 8+ years in mechanical design/development, especially in defense applications.
• Experience with airframe development, electronics packaging, and mechanisms.
• Understanding manufacturing techniques and military standards.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
