Job summary

Gray AES is seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager in the United States to lead multi-discipline design-build projects from initiation to closure.

The role emphasizes planning, budget, schedule, risk management, and strong customer engagement. The successful candidate will coordinate with engineering, automation, procurement, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions while proactively addressing challenges and managing change.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant project management experience in professional services, manufacturing, or related industries, with demonstrated success leading design-build projects from proposal through commissioning.
• Ability to show how understanding of industrial manufacturing space and Gray AES solutions led to positive outcomes through planning, scoping, and value engineering.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, automation, procurement, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions and manage change.
• Experience leading customer engagements in a design-build environment, aligning scope, budget, schedule and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for business communication, presentations and collaboration.
• Comfort working in industrial facilities, standard offices, and remote settings.
• Strong oral and written communication, and negotiation skills on behalf of the company.
• Energetic, self-motivated team player with collaboration and professional development mindset.

Responsibilities

• Leads the planning, execution, and delivery of multi-discipline projects from initiation to closure.
• Responsible for overall project success and predictable results across deliverables and metrics.
• Fosters cross-department collaboration to drive task completion with organizational impact.
• Develops project scopes, objectives, and detailed plans; coordinates design deliverables with timelines and customer expectations.
• Mentors other project managers and assigns tasks to PM resources.
• Communicates project progress and outcomes to leadership.
• Maintains understanding of project and customer dynamics; adjusts strategies for successful outcomes.
• Ensures understanding of project roles and skillsets among the team; provides coaching and feedback.
• Aligns with Gray AES Vision and Strategic Plan; demonstrates leadership practices and core values.
• Leads estimating and proposal phases by collaborating across technical teams, business development, and external resources; ensures customer scope is understood.
• Ensures solutions meet milestones, testing, and commissioning activities as required.
• Provides on-site support and coordination, including supervision of team members and partners; other duties may be assigned.
