Job summary

NW Recruiting Partners is recruiting a Senior Design-Build Civil Project Manager for a client in Seattle, WA. The candidate will lead high-profile transportation and civil infrastructure projects with extensive experience in design-build delivery.

You will drive pursuits, strengthen client relationships, and lead projects from early design and planning through construction and closeout, collaborating with owners and stakeholders to manage scope, schedule, budget, constructability, and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is required.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State is required.
• 15+ years of experience managing complex civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading design-build projects or other alternative delivery methods.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, project controls, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex civil infrastructure projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall performance.
• Coordinate integrated design-build teams including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Establish goals, milestones, deliverables, and performance expectations.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets; identify risks and take corrective actions.
• Oversee design coordination ensuring alignment with requirements, constructability, cost, and schedule.
• Manage contracts, change orders, negotiations, and project closeout activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and industry standards.
• Facilitate communication between owners, design teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical, contractual, and operational challenges.
• Provide regular progress updates on budget, schedule, risks, and deliverables.
• Apply best practices in project management, estimating, scheduling, QC, and contract administration.
• Support proposal development and client relationship activities.
