Job summary

Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is seeking an Attorney to cover Parentage and Child Support for the Division of Child Support. The position offers Deputy I, II, or Senior Deputy levels based on qualifications and a Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM schedule.

Salary ranges are posted for each level, with annual pay increases and potential COLAs. Spanish fluency is desirable, and Bar admission requirements vary by level. Whatcom County is committed to diversity and public service.

Qualifications

• Must be a current member in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association.
• OR be a current member in good standing of another State Bar Association and pass WA Bar exam within one year.
• Spanish language fluency is desired.
• Trial experience in criminal law is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover Parentage and Child Support cases for the Division of Child Support.
• Represent the county in civil and criminal matters as assigned.
