The Department of Banking & Securities (DoBS) is excited to welcome a diligent Senior Depository Financial Institutions Examiner to serve as the lead examiner in conducting examinations of financial depository institutions all across Pennsylvania. As a Senior Depository Financial Institutions Examiner, you will function as the lead examiner and will be responsible for assigning tasks, providing guidance and instruction, and ensuring work is being completed in adherence with all identified standards and procedures. Senior examiners are primarily tasked with more complex projects and examinations. This position affords the unique opportunity to travel both in and out of the state in order to assist in the completion of examinations of financial institutions and conduct independent examinations of departments within financial institutions. Excellent interpersonal skills are employed to provide thorough explanation of examinations and subsequent reporting requirements to management personnel at assigned institutions. You will also collaborate with department executive staff and the board of directors to review any violations of law, classified assets, material problems, and negative financial trends, in addition to discussing corrective measures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM,Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework:This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years as a Depository Financial Institutions Examiner 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of professional experience in examining depository financial institution or trust company records and operations for conformance to laws, rules and regulations and a bachelor's degree with a major in finance, accounting, economics or information technology, including or supplemented by nine credits in accounting; or
• Four years of professional internal auditing experience in a depository financial institution or trust company and a bachelor's degree with a major in finance, accounting, economics or information technology, including or supplemented by nine credits in accounting;or
• Four years of professional operating experience in a depository financial institution or trust company with experience in any of the following areas: lending, audit, risk management, transactions processing, trust department, branch management, compliance, finance/accounting, information technology systems or capital markets/treasury; and a bachelor’s degree with a major in finance, accounting, economics or information technology, including or supplemented by nine credits in accounting; or
• An equivalent combination ofexperience and training which includes nine college credits in accounting.
