Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Department Manager and/or Senior Project Manager to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection team in Miami. The role focuses on leadership, client satisfaction, and project delivery across heavy highway, bridges, and infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years with FDOT, a PE license preferred, and strong abilities in budgeting, proposals, and business development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction engineering/inspection experience with FDOT is required.
• Ability to lead a team, develop marketing strategies, and manage budgets and proposals.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for client satisfaction and project delivery.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to achieve financial and growth goals for the discipline.
• Oversee productivity, profitability, client satisfaction, and quality of work.
• Develop and lead marketing and business development strategies in collaboration with marketing teams.
• Manage budgets, proposals, contracts, and backlog to optimize staffing and resource use.
• Mentor staff, manage performance, and coordinate with safety programs.
• Coordinate with other firms and manage subconsultant contracts; ensure FDOT prequalification compliance.
