Job summary

Temple University’s Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to support residents, faculty, and students in the Endodontic Clinic.

The role includes four-handed dentistry, patient prep, chair-side assistance, and coordination of supplies. The position requires at least 1 year of dental assisting experience (endo preferred), a dental assisting certificate, PA dental radiology certification, and CPR.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant, including endo experience.
• Dental Assisting training and certificate from an accredited school.
• Dental Radiology Certification from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents, faculty and students in Endodontic Clinic for routine and complex procedures.
• Prepare chairs and rooms, seat patients, perform four-handed dentistry.
• Monitor emergency drug and oxygen supplies and enforce infection control.
• Take and upload digital x-rays into Axium; manage patient files and scheduling.
• Order and maintain supplies and coordinate inventory.
• Front desk duties when needed, including greeting patients and scheduling.
