Job summary

L’Oréal in New York, NY, is seeking a Manager of Demand Planning to lead the brand's forecast for growth and profitability. You will consolidate bottoms-up forecasts from markets and sales teams to drive the monthly S&OP cycle, monitor deviations, and help ensure inventory health and optimal catalogue performance.

The role requires 5+ years in demand planning, strong analytical skills, SAP experience, and the ability to work in a hybrid office setting three days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years demand planning or related experience.
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills required.
• Experience working with a forecast software system.
• Experience working within an SAP environment a plus.
• Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development, review and implementation of an accurate forecast for use in financial, production and strategic planning processes.
• Drive the S&OP process with key stakeholders in the business and operations, representing Supply Chain in the business unit and channel.
• Interact & collaborate with Sales, Marketing & Finance partners in the development of the forecast.
• Challenge the forecast based on analytical data - both quantitative and qualitative demand signals.
• Monitor performance vs. the forecast and identify shifts or trends to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Collaborate with supply planning partners to identify forecast deviation and establish Safety Stock levels.
• Manage product catalogue and SKU life-cycle, including SKU rationalization.
• Lead/participate in special projects and monthly KPI reporting.
