Job summary

UST is seeking a Senior Demand Planner to lead SKU-level forecasts and IBP coordination. You will work with Marketing, Sales Strategy, Finance, and Supply Planning to craft accurate demand plans using SAP Demand Planning and Excel tools.

The role is based in Summit, NJ, with up to 10% travel. A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in supply chain are preferred, along with experience in manufacturing or consumer industries and SAP proficiency.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years business experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (i.e. vLookups, pivot tables) is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives and work independently while demonstrating initiative is required.
  • The ability to work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist is required.
  • This position will be based out of Summit, NJ and may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, customer service and/or planning is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Forecasting preferred.
  • Experience in the Consumer industry or other FDA regulated industry is preferred.
  • APICS certification is preferred.
  • Lean, Six-Sigma or Process Excellence training and/or certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing SKU-level operational forecasts for an assigned product portfolio using SAP Demand Planning.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Planning to create accurate demand plans.
  • Monitor forecast gaps, lead cross-functional reviews, and track Forecast Accuracy metrics.

You Are

UST is searching for a Senior Demand Planner with 2 years of experience in supply chain management or supporting supply chain preferably.

The Opportunity
  • Developing SKU-level operational forecasts for a number of products within an assigned portfolio via coordination of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes using SAP Demand Planning functionality.
  • Interacting regularly with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, CPFR, Finance, & Supply Planning and will utilize historical order and shipment data, current POS trends, trade inventory data, and promotional activity information to develop the best possible demand plans for new and existing products.
  • Quantifying and communicating forecast gaps, leading cross-functional forecast reviews in accordance with the IBP process standards, and maintaining responsibilities for MAPE and Forecast Accuracy metrics and to identify areas of improvement.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

$57,000-$88,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
