About the opportunity
A fast-growing global technology company is at a pivotal point in its US growth. Its software already helps public agencies digitize how roadway and work zone information is planned, coordinated, and communicated. As the US footprint expands and a broader platform enters the market, the business needs a dedicated US marketing leader who can turn growing market credibility into measurable demand and pipeline.
This is a hands-on role inside the global Demand Generation function. You will own the US marketing engine and work closely with US sales leadership and the commercial team. You will move comfortably between strategy and execution, from shaping an account based campaign in the morning, to interviewing a customer for a case study, to using HubSpot and Salesforce to show what that activity produced.
Leadership puts it simply: we don't want someone who reports marketing activity to us. We want someone who can show how marketing is helping us win US agencies and create pipeline.
What you will own
- The US marketing funnel end to end, covering awareness, engagement, qualified lead, meeting or demo, opportunity, and pipeline, in close partnership with Sales
- An account based marketing program built around priority state DOTs, major cities and counties, transportation authorities, strategic partners, and other high-value accounts
- Integrated campaigns that turn US go-to-market priorities into demand, accelerate active opportunities, and support land and expand growth
- The US content and thought leadership program across LinkedIn, email, webinars, industry media, customer stories, case studies, landing pages, and sales enablement
- Customer storytelling, capturing measurable outcomes, testimonials, use cases, and proof points from a growing US customer base
- US digital discoverability and conversion, including website content, SEO, AI search optimization, landing pages, calls to action, and analytics
- US webinar and field marketing programs, from pre-event target account outreach and meeting generation through on-site activation and post-event nurture
- Relationships with US industry media and associations, developing contributed articles, webinars, podcasts, speaking engagements, and executive visibility
- Marketing attribution and reporting across HubSpot and Salesforce, giving a clear view of source, engagement, lead progression, opportunity influence, and pipeline contribution. That includes moving marketing agency reporting off spreadsheets and onto these systems
- The specialist US marketing agency relationship from day one, including the move to a re-scoped retainer. There is an onboarding period like any new role, but at this level you will be managing the agency from the outset
- Day to day direction, priorities, and development for a junior marketing team member
A US marketing lead embedded in the business
You will report into the Head of Demand Generation and work closely with the senior leaders on US commercial priorities. You will understand the priority account pipeline, take part in relevant commercial reviews, and build marketing around the opportunities the business is actively pursuing.
You will also translate emerging US priorities into timely campaigns and thought leadership that resonate with public agency buyers. These include work zone safety, connected corridors, digital infrastructure, connected vehicle and V2X initiatives, AI, and relevant federal and state programs.
Looking ahead, the platform’s proposition extends beyond public agencies from 2027. You will start building messaging and demand generation for commercial contractors working alongside the DOTs, counties, and transportation authorities the business serves today, widening the audience this role speaks to over time.
What you bring
- 6 or more years in B2B SaaS marketing, ideally with GovTech, public sector, transportation and ITS, infrastructure technology, or enterprise technology buyers
- Proven experience managing an external agency or marketing vendor against budget, scope, and deliverables, including resetting or renegotiating a commercial relationship where performance fell short A commercial mindset, connecting marketing activity to customer acquisition, opportunity progression, pipeline, and revenue
- ABM capability, with the ability to build programs around a defined universe of strategic accounts, decision makers, and influencers instead of relying on broad awareness
- Strong working knowledge of HubSpot and Salesforce, with practical experience in attribution, segmentation, nurture, intent signals, and campaign reporting
- Content capability, including strong copy, campaign messaging, nurture flows, social content, and customer stories, using AI tools intelligently to speed up execution
- Comfort managing a direct report, even a junior one, and working with cross-functional stakeholders senior to you
- Confidence at conferences, customer meetings, webinars, and industry forums, and the ability to convert those moments into follow-up and pipeline
- An entrepreneurial, adaptable approach in a scale-up environment, able to prioritize quickly and execute without a large local team
- Data discipline, with as much interest in conversion and pipeline as in creative output
- Readiness to travel regularly across the US for customers, events, and team meetings, with occasional UK travel
