Job summary
Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Senior DeltaV Controls Engineer for an onsite Life Sciences automation role in Raleigh, North Carolina. You will lead design, implementation and project management of capital automation projects in regulated environments.
Extensive hands-on Emerson DeltaV experience and proficiency with DeltaV Live/Operate, ISA-101 and ISA-88 are required. You will guide system architecture, batch controls, networking, electrical design, validation and commissioning, while
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or related field REQUIRED
- 8-15 years automation and control system experience in Life Sciences REQUIRED
- 8-15 years hands-on Emerson DeltaV experience REQUIRED
- Proficiency with DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate, including high-performance HMI REQUIRED
- ISA-101 HMI design principles and high-performance graphics REQUIRED
- Strong class-based configuration and design experience REQUIRED
- ISA-88 batch processing, historian solutions and advanced control REQUIRED
- Experience managing large Life Sciences capital projects REQUIRED
- Knowledge of HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA REQUIRED
- DeltaV licensing planning experience REQUIRED
- Willingness to travel up to 25% REQUIRED
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Emerson DeltaV control systems for Life Sciences capital projects
- Lead system architecture development and control strategies
- Design batch sequencing, phase logic and recipe structures
- Develop DeltaV graphics using DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate
- Apply ISA-101 HMI design principles and high-performance graphics
- Utilize class-based configuration and design for scalability
- Plan and specify DeltaV system licensing based on scope and user needs
- Lead automation projects supporting regulated manufacturing
