Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Sr Project Manager to join our Portfolio and Program Management team in Newport Beach, CA. In a hybrid, iterative delivery environment, you will lead cross-functional initiatives across business and technology to move initiatives forward with clarity and ownership.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of project management experience in hybrid Agile settings, strong facilitation and communication skills, and familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and MS Project.

Qualifications

10+ years of project management experience in hybrid Agile environments.
Strong facilitation and communication skills.
Experience managing delivery with iterative and milestone-driven work.
Ability to track progress across multiple teams and technologies.
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
Experience in regulated industries (insurance/financial services/healthcare) preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead large-scale initiatives across business and technology teams using a mix of Agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery methods.
Establish and maintain pragmatic delivery plans, adjusting based on team feedback and priorities.
Facilitate clear communication across teams and stakeholders for timely decisions.
Identify risks early, manage trade-offs, and maintain delivery momentum.
Partner with product managers and delivery leads to ensure scope and timing are aligned.
Monitor progress and manage dependencies and impediments across teams.
