Job summary

Cardinal Health in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Senior Delivery Driver to ensure prompt, accurate delivery of radiopharmaceuticals to medical providers. You will load, unload, and package doses, verify labels, and maintain vehicle readiness while following safety standards and DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid license, a good driving record, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Work involves day and night shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Past dispatching experience a plus.
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus.
• Ability to lift containers weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
• Minimum of 21 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assigns delivery routes to drivers and makes adjustments as needed.
• Processes incoming packages for pharmacy use.
• Performs equipment checks for daily use.
• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl).
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers.
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation.
• Processes packages returned from customer locations.
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs.
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required.
• Provides timely and accurate completion of deliveries to Cardinal Health customers while using the most safe and efficient delivery routes.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of processes and systems that support product delivery including Isotrac and route optimization tablet.
• Assists in packing doses for shipment, preparing cases, wiping doses, and loading and unloading containers according to safety standards and DOT regulations.
• Verifies accuracy of labeling on outgoing shipments.
