Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Wake Forest, NC is seeking a Deli Manager to supervise guest service, merchandising, and daily deli operations, ensuring quality and consistency across the department.

You will lead a team, train staff, manage scheduling and labor costs, monitor inventory, execute merchandising programs, and uphold Lowes Foods standards to deliver an outstanding, friendly shopping experience for guests while maintaining safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of deli operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.
