Job summary

Lowes Foods in Raleigh is seeking a Deli Manager to lead daily operations of the deli department, supervise staff, and ensure guest service, merchandising, and department standards are met.

You will help achieve sales targets, manage inventory, scheduling, training, and maintain sanitation and product quality. This role also includes leading by example and coordinating with store leadership to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising deli or retail staff.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Merchandising and inventory handling knowledge.
• Understanding of deli operations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
