Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience in defense/aerospace.
• Experience with requirements elicitation, decomposition, traceability and verification planning.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end hardware-software development, integration and test.
• Proficiency with requirements management tools.
• Strong understanding of SE processes across the lifecycle.
• Experience defining and managing technical interfaces between subsystems or organizations.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills; able to convey complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, decompose and manage system requirements from customer needs through verification.
• Establish bidirectional traceability between requirements, design elements and verification methods.
• Define and document system interfaces (mechanical, electrical, optical, RF, data) via ICDs.
• Develop architectures, functional flows and physical decompositions for electromechanical, opto-mechanical and RF systems.
• Conduct trade studies to optimize system performance against cost and schedule constraints.
• Create verification matrices and test plans mapping requirements to verification methods.
• Develop integration strategies and support multi-disciplinary system integration across subsystems.
• Support system-level testing, verification events and validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure system-level integration.
• Identify, assess and track technical risks; develop mitigation plans with engineering teams.
• Prepare technical specs, reports and presentations for internal teams and customers.
• Participate in SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR and other design reviews as systems engineering representative.
