Job summary

Booz Allen is seeking a Defense Mission Protocol Professional to advise and coordinate high-level military protocols for a General and Flag officer level command. You will research orders, craft correspondence, and plan ceremonies, ensuring compliance with policy and security requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in a Protocol Officer role, Marine Corps knowledge, and a Secret clearance, with responsibility for complex events and After-Action reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Protocol Officer at General/Flag Officer level.
• Knowledge of Marine Corps structure and functions of a general officer at the Major Subordinate Command level or higher.
• Knowledge of protocol courtesies and etiquette for distinguished visitors including government officials and corporate leaders.
• Knowledge of local community organizations or events for planning, budgeting, executing and evaluating involvement.
• Knowledge of software applications such as databases, word processing, and spreadsheets, including integrating different apps.
• Knowledge of ORF and NAF.
• Ability to work at a fast pace while supporting multiple military events and complex assignments.
• Ability to write and communicate at the level expected for a general officer command, including naval correspondence format and After-Action Reports.
• Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze orders, directives, and policy guiding military protocols to provide advice and planning support.
• Coordinate recommendations for ceremonies, social functions, and receptions for visiting dignitaries to ensure appropriateness.
• Advise DoD clients on protocol analysis, planning, and coordination for defense programs.
• Prepare comprehensive After-Action Reports and critiques following major visits, ceremonies, and social functions.
• Identify systemic improvements from event outcomes and work with higher Headquarters and MCCS to obtain ORF or manage NAF for official events.
