Job summary

Tagup, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to lead mission-critical customer engagements and own end-to-end delivery from plan to integration with government data systems under real constraints.

You will work directly with customer technical staff, debug production issues, mentor engineers, and set conventions for how the team builds with customers. Travel to military sites across the U.S. is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with customer-facing or systems-integration work.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript and SQL, with data integration and constrained system design.
• Experience deploying and debugging in government cloud, on-prem, or other restricted environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagements end to end: integration with government data and systems.
• Turn ambiguous requirements into technical plans and deliver multi-week engagements with little supervision.
• Build custom workflows to drive adoption and engagement with key customers.
