Job summary

Flex is looking for a dedicated Debug Technician to join our Salt Lake City team, focusing on troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical assemblies at the component level to support product quality and reliability.

Reporting to the Repair Center Supervisor, you will operate electronic test equipment like oscilloscopes, perform specialized tests, and collaborate with engineering to update procedures.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of related experience.
• Advanced technical skills across mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Ability to train and guide other technicians.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used in equipment at the component level.
• Operates electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and conducts special tests as required.
• Provides technical assistance and guidance to other technical personnel.
• Collaborates with engineering on functionality issues and procedure updates.
• Presents training, when necessary, to the new build and service assembler teams.
• Contributes to the development of work instructions, batch records, equipment logs, material specifications, and other history documents.
• Help monitor productivity of our equipment by tracking yields and equipment cycle rates.
• Assists with the installation, debugging, and validation of process equipment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Develops and maintains Debug Guide to troubleshoot PCBA.
• Provides training and PCBA debugging guidance to other debug technicians.
