About the role

Samsara’s Deal Desk team collaborates closely with our Sales organization to drive market wins and meet revenue targets. We are a diverse, global team focused on making the Deal Desk a great place to work and grow. As part of this team, you will help the company achieve growth by acting as a trusted advisor to Sales, facilitating deal closures, and aligning on commercial strategies that benefit the customer, Samsara, and our partners. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious, has a strong commercial mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys cross-team collaboration.

Location

This is a remote position open to candidates in the US, excluding Alaska, Austin Metro, Boulder Metro, California, Chicago Metro, Connecticut, Dallas Metro, Denver Metro, Houston Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Seattle Metro, and Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities
  • Guide the structure and execution of Mid-Market deals, balancing customer experience, revenue, profitability, and compliance.
  • Advise on deal structure, discounting, and commercial terms; educate Sales on commercial strategies.
  • Analyze deal financials, including margin, payment terms, and cash flow, to meet financial targets.
  • Mitigate risk by applying standardized terms and ensuring compliance with policies and revenue recognition standards.
  • Monitor support requests and quote approvals, maintaining SLAs with quality work.
  • Read and interpret financial statements to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure deal closure and a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Enablement to train Sales teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Embed Samsara’s cultural principles across the organization.
Minimum requirements
  • 3+ years in Deal Desk, Finance, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations.
  • Understanding of SaaS deal construction, booking, and revenue implications.
  • Ability to analyze deal economics and explain commercial levers.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive internal resource management.
  • Track record of results in high-growth environments.
  • Commercial reasoning with attention to detail and strategic perspective.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak cycles.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce and proficiency in Google Sheets/MS Excel.
