Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced DDI Engineer to build and operate an Infoblox-based DDI platform at Verisign. The role emphasizes production deployments, automation, and secure-by-default solutions across on-prem and cloud integrations.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of DNS/DHCP/IPAM, ITIL concepts, and scripting (Python/Go) to streamline workflows. This contract-to-hire position is based in Reston, VA with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
8+ years of industry experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex issues clearly.
Experience deploying and operating a DDI platform in production.
Experience integrating multiple services with a DDI platform in an enterprise.
Strong understanding of DNS protocols, DHCP lease management and IPAM (IPv4/IPv6).
Understanding of CMDB and ITIL concepts.
Understanding of network protocols and security.
Ability to write scripts in Python or Go to interact with platforms.

Responsibilities

Build, operate, and maintain the Infoblox platform supporting the DDI initiative and Verisign.
Implement and support monitoring pipelines for platform health and observability.
Automate DDI workflows for provisioning, cleanup, and compliance enforcement.
Troubleshoot DNS/DHCP/IPAM incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement fixes.
Create and maintain docs and runbooks for first-line support teams.
Ensure compliance with vulnerability management and information security standards.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for tier 3 support.
