Job summary

Lvi-Associates is seeking a Senior DCS Automation Engineer (Honeywell Platforms) for Houston, TX. You will lead control system engineering activities across capital projects and plant upgrades, designing and configuring DCS, SIS, and related systems to meet client goals.

Responsibilities include developing narratives and specifications, managing project scopes, and coordinating with teams to ensure milestones and quality standards are achieved. PE registration is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion PKS and legacy TDC systems.
• Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), PLCs, HMIs, or additional DCS platforms is highly desirable.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration is beneficial but not required.
• 10+ years of automation, controls, or process control engineering experience.
• Experience supporting projects within chemical, petrochemical, refining, or other continuous process industries.
• Familiarity with front-end engineering, detailed design, and EPC project execution.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of control system engineering activities for capital projects and plant upgrades.
• Design and configure distributed control systems, safety systems, operator interfaces, and industrial communications networks.
• Support the creation of control narratives, functional specifications, and operational philosophies.
• Manage assigned project scopes, including scheduling, resource planning, budgeting, and technical oversight.
• Coordinate closely with project teams and stakeholders to provide updates on engineering progress, deliverables, and milestones.
• Ensure automation deliverables meet quality standards, project requirements, and client expectations.
• Provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles, from early design through commissioning and startup.
