Qualifications

• 6+ years designing and managing production workloads on Aurora MySQL and RDS MySQL.
• 6+ years database architecture, replication, clustering, HA/DR.
• 2+ years backend development in Golang, Python or Java.
• 4+ years AWS cloud experience.
• 4+ years Linux-based clustered DB services.
• 5+ years DevOps with Kubernetes and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and manage DBaaS for Workday Database Infrastructure.
• Design APIs to improve availability, scalability, and cross-cloud performance.
• Develop dashboards and APIs to measure DB KPIs.
• Enhance observability and implement auto-remediation techniques.
• Support large-scale DB instances across prod, non-prod, and dev environments.
• Participate in on-call rotations for database infrastructure.
• Collaborate with service teams for resiliency and performance improvements.
