Omm IT Solutions in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join a permanent W-2/Corp2Corp engagement. The role requires hands-on SQL Server and PostgreSQL expertise and a willingness to work on-site 24/7 support as part of rotating shifts.

You will install, configure, tune, and monitor databases, implement backups, migrations, and security controls, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure data integrity and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required; 3 years related experience can substitute for education.
• 7+ years of Information Technology experience.
• 6+ years of MS SQL Server on Azure or PostgreSQL administration.
• Ability to install and configure MS SQL Server; set up clustering and Always On.
• Capacity planning and performance tuning for SQL databases.
• Experience with SSIS/SSRS/SSAS and data replication/backups.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server on Azure; manage PostgreSQL databases.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries.
• Plan capacity and scale databases as data grows.
• Implement backups, restore strategies, and replication.
• Ensure data security and manage database user permissions.
• Prepare documentation and participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support.
