Job summary

Netpace Inc. seeks an experienced Database Systems Platform Engineer/Administrator to design, manage, optimize, and secure enterprise database platforms across Redis, Oracle RDS, MongoDB, and related technologies. The role requires hands-on management of deployments in AWS and on‑premises, including high availability and automation.

You will work with EKS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Grafana, and CI/CD pipelines to support modern cloud-native environments and database performance tuning at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as Database Administrator / Database Systems Administrator.
• Hands-on experience with production-grade Redis, MongoDB, and Oracle databases.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer Redis, MongoDB, and Oracle databases in production.
• Design clustered, replica sets, sharding, and partitioning.
• Deploy databases across on-premises, cloud, and Atlas environments.
• Perform performance tuning and query optimization for throughput and latency.
• Analyze queries, indexes, schemas, and partitions for optimization.
• Manage database objects, stored procedures, and schema changes.
• Ensure data integrity, backups, recovery, and DR readiness.
• Monitor health, capacity, and performance with standard tools.
• Enforce security best practices, access controls, and encryption.
• Collaborate with application, DevOps, and infra teams to align needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in HA environments.
• Automate provisioning and maintenance tasks with IaC.
